started this episode on Netflix and was laughing so hard I couldn't finish it so I had one question after I showed this to my boyfriend: why the pterodactyl? Boyfriend's counter question: Why aren't there more pterodactyls? xD
That episode was the only time when I went, "Aaaaw..." for both Pearce and Chang. Crazy? IKR!
Love(!) your version. Look so good it can be on a holiday card. Oooh! Can I print this and give it to my brother (who loves Community just as much as I do) as a Christmas present???
Hope you can whip-up more Community-based fanart in this style, but with their snarky IRL selves. Heh. That'll be something.
Btw, Abed is my fave character (next to Annie...and Jeff on occasion). So any episode (and fanart) centering him is just...plain...awesome.
(One of my fave lines in the series) Abed: Okay, if I could just take this time to share a few words of sarcasm with whoever it is that took this pen. I want to say thank you for doing this to me. For a while I thought I'd had to suffer through a puppy parade, but I much prefer being entombed alive in a mausoleum of feelings I can neither understand nor reciprocate. So whoever you are, can I get you anything? Ice cream? Best friend medal? Anything? Mmm-mmmm? Okay, sarcasm over.
No worries! I know real life can pull you away from your online life so I totally understand. Community is a little changed this season, but it still rocks!!! And I'll wait for your Community Christmas artwork.
I dunno, I'm LOVING this season. Sure, the first couple of episodes were kind of... "weird" (I actually blame it on lighting, musicalisation and editing... GOD, the editing on episode one is AWFUL), but it's back to being fucking amazing. I'm just... I'm stupidly in love with this show...
Also, a promo for this week's episode was just released. I might start working on this year's art very soon
You need to know that is is amazing. And is now my background.
(Stylistically brilliant, you captured something that was already a stylistic shift--the Christmas-claymation--and shifted it again! Adorable renditions--it feels like picture book pastels. The texture too, is pleasing to the eye. Nice touch with the Christmas pterodactyl.)
Awn, yes, it did had some sad stuff in it, but I also think it was pretty optimistic I identify with Duncan's description of what Christmas does to us, and hearing that "the meaning of Christmas is thinking that Christmas HAS meaning" made me make peace with the fact that my childhood Christmas is gone and it won't be back until I have kid
